Hello and welcome to a year in review: 2021! Looking back to look forward…

January – on Iona, planning and wondering and dipping in the cold sea. No change there.

February – Making love letters for Valentine’s. Fold your own here. And anticipate a new origami project for this year!

March – The first virtual Gathering Retreat was a delight. The next date is 18th – 20th March.

April -A Gathering Retreat to accommodate other time zones was a total joy, which we’ll recreate this April.

May – A workshop for Toast Kindred. And Ben Fogle came to stay at The Green Shed Iona, for his Sacred Islands programme.

June – Thanks to the Life in Motion course, I learned how to make films. Water Paper Ink expresses my Feeling of Home.

July – Eight Wishes Workshop. The first of an occasional series of free online bookart sessions. Sign up to hear details of future dates.

August – The first in-person Iona Driftwood Binding Retreats were a treat. There are a couple more places on the end of March course.

September – Pure Bookbinding: Three Structures. A weekend of inkery and stitching, gluing and laughing.

October – Married my island man, John.

November – The BookLove e-course with live sessions for questions and demos. This year’s course starts May 30th.

December – Launch of short films about the virtual Gathering Retreat and the residential Iona Driftwood Binding Retreat, looking ahead to March and April dates for both!
The Travelling Bookbinder wishes you all the best and bookiest for 2022 and looks forward to working, playing and swimming with you.
Huge congratulations on your marriage – such a happy photograph.
Scilly life has been very quiet, but I am still making and loving books, inspired by you at the very start, and going onwards.
Your beautiful, beautiful bouquet is only a bit player in the gorgeous photo of the two of you on your wedding day. All good wishes
Aw thank you Milne!
