Bound is Eight

The Travelling Bookbinder: Bound is Eight: US edition cover: Flatlay with tools

It’s 18th September 2026, which means Bound is Eight!

It’s still a total delight to hear from people all over the world who have picked up Bound in their local library, found it in a bookshop or gallery, or gifted it to a friend. I am so grateful for the boundless love that creating handmade books bring.

Over these eight wonderful years I’ve had the privilege of seeing how people have personalised and developed the fifteen projects in the book, how craft groups and schools have used it as a starting point for storytelling, reflecting and commemorating. I’m immensely grateful that people continue to find it useful and inspiring:

“This is such a lovely book and you feel as though the author is there with you, gently guiding you through the projects!” Rochelle, Amazon, 2023

GIVEAWAY: To celebrate that Bound is Eight, I want to send a copy to a person or a group who doesn’t already have one of their own. To receive one of three signed and wrapped books, please email (hello(at)thetravellingbookbinder.com) your request, describing why you or your group would be the best recipient and I’ll pick the top three favourite reasons for wanting to make books of your own.

Postage is covered, but any customs or tariffs are the recipient’s responsibility. This is a personal giveaway, unaffiliated with any media platform.

Ever thankful to all at Kyle, Susan Bell, Miranda Harvey, Esther Coombes and all the booksellers who stock Bound on their shelves.
