All text, design and graphics on this website are owned by The Travelling Bookbinder. We welcome people sharing images from our website, but please ensure that you credit correctly, and include a link to this site.
Commercial Use
This website may not be used in connection with any commercial purposes, unless specifically approved by The Travelling Bookbinder. This also applies to the bookbinding techniques, structures, patterns and teaching materials shared through our workshops and e-courses — see Intellectual Property & Use of Workshop and Course Content below.
Workshop Terms & Conditions
We are delighted to welcome you on an in-person workshop with The Travelling Bookbinder. Your place on the workshop is confirmed with full payment. Due to the logistics, people and places involved, these events are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Cancellations
The Travelling Bookbinder reserves the right to cancel a workshop at any time for any reason, including if there are too few participants, or if the quality of the trip or the safety of participants is assessed by The Travelling Bookbinder, in our sole discretion, to be compromised. A full refund of the workshop fee will be issued in this instance. This does not include related travel or accommodation costs; please ensure you are suitably insured.
It is not possible to transfer or roll a workshop place to a new date. We do not accept liability for any other costs incurred by the student other than the workshop fee. If courses have to be cancelled due to a force majeure, ie: the happening of events outside our control, for example, natural disasters or civil unrest, no refund will be given; please ensure you are suitably insured.
Intellectual Property and Use of Course Content
The bookbinding techniques, structures, patterns, course curricula, and any written, printed or digital teaching materials shared during our workshops are the intellectual property of The Travelling Bookbinder / Rachel Hazell, and are protected by copyright. You are welcome to keep, treasure, use and photograph the physical book or object you make for your own personal enjoyment.
Image & Content Consent
We often take photographs, and occasionally video, during our in-person workshops, to share the joy of bookbinding and to help others discover our courses. By booking a place on a workshop, you agree that The Travelling Bookbinder may use any photographs or video taken during the workshop — including images that feature you and the work you make — for marketing and promotional purposes, online or offline (for example on our website, social media, newsletters or in print). You retain the rights to your own finished work. If you would prefer not to be photographed or filmed, please let Rachel know at the start of the workshop, and we will do our best to accommodate this. Course itineraries are prospective and may be subject to variation and change. Please read and note these terms and conditions: booking onto a workshop with The Travelling Bookbinder assumes your acceptance of the above.

Workshop and course content may not be used for any commercial purposes. This includes, without limitation, teaching, publishing, selling or otherwise monetising the techniques, patterns, structures or materials you learn with us — whether in person, in print, online or via social media.
Personal Use
If you would like to use any photographs or video taken during a workshop or e-course (including your own photographs of work-in-progress that show our materials or teaching) in your own content, and exclusively for non-commercial use, then you must ensure that you credit correctly and tag @thetravellingbookbinder and/or link to thetravellingbookbinder.com website.
Exceptional Requests
If you would like to use, reproduce or repurpose any content from a Travelling Bookbinder workshop beyond your own personal, non-commercial use, please contact us at hello@thetravellingbookbinder.com before doing so, and do not proceed until you have our written approval. We’re always happy to hear from you and will respond as promptly as we can.
E-course Terms & Conditions
By registering for an e-course, please be aware you are agreeing to the following terms & conditions:
Single Use. No sharing: You confirm that you are purchasing a single license for this course for your individual use only.
Course Materials: You acknowledge that course materials are not included in the cost of the course. You acknowledge that all sales are final and no refunds will be given before, during or after class.
Payment: You acknowledge that payment for class is due in GBP (British pounds).
Online Course Delivery Policy
All our courses are delivered online in password-protected classrooms. We do not deliver physical products in the post, but rather send you an email with the URL of the classroom and the password you need to log in. If you do not receive your classroom login information please contact us via email at hello@thetravellingbookbinder.com. Your email address will be stored with your password on Thinkific, the third-party platform we use to facilitate access to our online courses. Neither The Travelling Bookbinder nor Thinkific will share this data with any other third parties. If you would like the data we hold about you to be deleted at anytime, please get in touch hello@thetravellingbookbinder.com
Intellectual Property and Use of Course Content
The bookbinding techniques, structures, patterns, course curricula, and any written, printed or digital teaching materials shared during our e-courses are the intellectual property of The Travelling Bookbinder / Rachel Hazell, and are protected by copyright.
Images and Video
You give permission for The Travelling Bookbinder to use any images you submit to be used in any future marketing or promotional strategies, online or offline. You will retain the rights to your work.

Classroom Etiquette
You acknowledge that The Travelling Bookbinder reserves the right to delete any inappropriate comments in the classroom or any of the class-related community spaces, in order to provide and maintain a supportive classroom environment.
